Are Formula Fed Babies More Constipated

Dairy products, calcium and colon cancer

Un nuovo Swedish study looked for a correlation between colon cancer and intake of calcium and dairy products.

Method: prospective observational study of 45,306 men (age 45-79 years) healthy subjects, followed for 7 years after detection of eating habits.

Results: During 7 years, the risk of being one of the 449 cases who developed colon cancer was lower for those taking higher amounts of both calcium and dairy-see chart-was not found a clear link with no particular site of the colon and rectum, and the association was significant only for milk.
